Sts. Constantine and Helena is the oldest seaside resort in Bulgaria and is located less than 10 km from the centre of Varna. The area is known for its unique combination of a pleasant seaside climate, natural mineral springs, and lush greenery, which contributed to its development as a destination for relaxation and wellness as early as the beginning of the 20th century.
The history of the resort is closely connected with the Monastery of Sts. Constantine and Helena, from which it takes its present-day name. At the beginning of the last century, the area gradually began attracting more visitors, and over the following decades it developed into one of the established holiday destinations on the Bulgarian Black Sea coast.
For many years, the resort was known as “Druzhba,” a name that is still occasionally used by residents of Varna. In the 1990s, the name Sts. Constantine and Helena was restored. Today, the resort combines modern hotels and spa complexes with spacious green areas, walking paths, children’s playgrounds, and places for sports and recreation. Its proximity to Varna makes it suitable for both a longer seaside holiday and a short visit or day trip.
